On June 27, TeamSmiles teamed up with the Cleveland Indians and local dental professionals to provide free oral care to underserved children in the community. Matt Scherer volunteered at the event and had an amazing time! Check out some of the photos he captured that day.
In 2017, TeamSmiles provided 3,915 children with free dental care worth $1,622,739. During the programs, oral health education is provided to help encourage kids to keep up with healthy dental habits. The event on June 27 was held at Progressive Field in Cleveland with a surprise guest, Elmore Smith, NBA legend with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
At the 2018 event, 258 children were served, providing $169,500 worth of FREE dental treatments, preventative care, and health education. You can check out the full report here.
